As a seasoned litigator with over 30 years of trial experience, Mr. Cannon is admitted to practice before the State Bars of Illinois, California and Texas; the Illinois Supreme Court; the Fifth, Seventh, Ninth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal; the United States Supreme Court; and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.


Prior to joining Naumann & Associates Ltd, Attorney Cannon managed his own law firm with offices in both California and Illinois, focused on providing commercial litigation services and strategic guidance to executives and management of local businesses as well as Fortune 500 corporations. A partial listing of practice areas has included: all aspects of pretrial discovery and motions, trials, arbitrations and mediations, regulatory compliance, negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements, intellectual property enforcement and licenses, supply and distribution collaborative agreements, vendor agreements, Master Service Agreements, privacy and data protection, marketing and false advertising issues, commercial transactions, and general corporate matters.


While at his own firm, Mr. Cannon was responsible for strategizing and then implementing a nationwide patent infringement litigation and licensing program netting over $78 Million in royalties, and spearheaded successful resolution of complex multi-district litigation against a large international pharmaceutical corporation.


After obtaining an engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Mr. Cannon attended Depaul University College of Law before transferring to Southern Methodist University law school in Dallas, Texas, where he obtained Am Jur Awards in several classes for earning the highest grades in the entire law school, ultimately graduating in the upper 10% of his law school class. 


Mr. Cannon’s litigation skills have been recognized with the California Trial Lawyers Association Outstanding Achievement Award, and in recent years peer nominated as an Illinois Super Lawyer.


Before law school, Mr. Cannon served in the United States Navy, as an Aviation Reserve Officer Candidate at the Navy Officer Candidate School, NAS Pensacola, where he earned the Academics Award for receiving the highest grades in the entire battalion.



Born and raised in Chicago before relocating to Dallas, Texas and then to Silicon Valley in California, Mr. Cannon eventually returned to his roots and now resides in Barrington, Illinois. He has been happily married to his wife for over twenty years, who herself is quite accomplished as the CEO of her own pharmaceutical company. Christian values and integrity are the guiding influences in his life.
